Our MOMS Club Chapter offers a wide variety of activities for you and your children to enjoy. The following is a list of some of the activities that we currently have in place. All our events are optional and most events are free of charge. Certain group activities, may require a small fee. All members receive our monthly newsletter, calendar & roster.
Age Specific Playgroups
We have 5 playgroups that are divided up by age. (Ages birth to 1 year, ages 1 year to 2 years, ages 2 to 3 years, ages 3 to 4.5 years, and ages 5 years and up) You would normally attend the playgroup of your oldest child, but you are encouraged to join a playgroup for each of your children's ages (see playgroups page). Playgroups meet once a week and each Mom takes a turn hosting.
Lunch Bunch
Once a month all members get together to meet for lunch, we could meet at a local restaurant, a members home or a park picnic!
Moms Night Out
Once a month Moms get together for an evening of fun. Activities include dinner night, movies, bunko or bowling just to name few!
Holiday Fun
We celebrate festive times of the year, such as Halloween, Christmas or Valentines Day. Activities will be set up for children of members that wish to participate. Committees of Moms will coordinate each event.
Field Trips
Once a month our field trip coordinator plans a day outing for the whole club to enjoy! Some of our past field trips include a trip to a local fire station for a tour, a morning at the Long Beach Aquarium and tour at our local Ralph's super market.
TLC Support
Our TLC Mom coordinates with the members of the club to help other Moms in times of need, such as support after the birth of a new baby, death in a family or recovering from an illness or surgery. We help each other by dropping off meals for the family, helping with childcare, errands or light shopping, depending on the needs of the family.
Family Fun Days
Every three months we have a big family fun day where all members and heir families get together for a fun event such as a picnic or potluck! Fun for the entire family!
Park Days
Once a month we have an all members park day where we all get together for one big park day. Children of all ages come to the park days.
Birthday Club
Every other month we celebrate kids birthdays of the past two months! Moms of these little ones bring the refreshments/cupcakes and we usually enjoy a day at Chuck-E-Cheese!
General Meetings
All members get together once a month to discuss general business such as planing the calendar, voting on various issues, and plan events and service projects. We also schedule periodic guest speakers to come to these meetings. Speakers can include, a financial planner, personal organizer, kindergarten teacher or even a cosmetic specialist! ALL members are encouraged to come to our general meetings to enjoy a speaker, vote on a current issue, and to get more involved in the club!
Service Projects
We participate in at least 1 service project a year. These are fund raisers we coordinate to benefit children or mothers in our community. Some local charities we have worked with include: Orangewood Children's Home and Casa Youth Shelter.
